Creative artistic expression and communication

Helios, the Heron is a program which focuses on guiding children in the discovery of their own emotions and uses art as a compass in this exploration. Art redirects the mistaken perception of not being able to communicate and creates the space for a dialogue about individuality.

Helios, the Heron is about positivity, acceptance and finding practical ways to enable communication and expression. 

This is achieved in 1:1 session where:

• The MAP, the travelled road is where it starts: Walking on the traditional conventional route (drawing, painting, photography, light and shadow, colour theory, composition, etc);

• The New Route, opening new avenues for expression which are subjective, where reaching the top means expanding the creative horizon meaning more possibilities and ways to express/share our experiences;

• The hike offers plenty of possibilities like diverse multi sensorial stimulation, observation and time spent in nature, and direct experience of new materials, stimuli and tools.
